We have set up this site in memory to our beloved Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad, affectionately known as Little Grandad.  Jim spent most of his childhood in care along with his big brother Ted, and was later joined at the home by their little sister Ada (the three children shown in the cover photo). Dad shared many a memory of his time in care, some good, some not so good and some very amusing, but overall he truly believed that, in his circumstances, living in care was what made him the person he was. From such humble beginnings Dad went on to play a huge part in not only our lives, but in the lives of everyone he met along his journey, still inspiring and making friends until the age of 93.  His work ethic, generosity with his time and forgiveness made him such a legend to everyone who was lucky enough to have known him. The Whites became the family he had never had, but Dad always had a special bond with 'Bruvver Ted' with whom he had shared his younger years in care.  It is for this reason that we have chosen this charity, in the hope that your donations, however small or large, may make a difference to even ONE child, and that that ONE child can go on to be as special to a future generation as our Dad was (and still is) to us.
